Someone who knows something about DOSBox, have a question

Post by Blorx » Sun Oct 24, 2010 8:31 pm

So, not quite knowing what I was doing, I tried installing TES: Daggerfall through DOSBox. Seeing as I wasn't sure what to do (I was raised on Macs and DOS is a foreign entity to me), I simply dragged the install app over the DOSBox icon and installed it, meaning, no, C: was not mounted (don't have it set up to auto-mount). So...here's my question...where the hell did it install?

It probably didn't install.

Well, the installation apparently went fine, and it was asking me to start it at the end. I realize I did it wrong, I just don't want it hiding on me.

I had a feeling that it doesn't really "exist" though, seeing as Z: is a virtual drive, no?

It's all here: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/ZDrive

You want to mount some folder as a drive, and install there instead: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/MOUNT

You can add that mounting to the autoexec section of your DOSBox config: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/AUTOEXEC
