I thought you stopped playing because my friends and I kept bugging you to join us online. You just initially insisted that you had to finish the single player first. Then people kept throwing invites at you. :P
Haha yeah, it was your invites coupled with the fact that the single player was boring as shit...I tried to finish it, I really did. That's even more of a testament to how awful it was, I tried VERY HARD to finish it and still couldn't muster up the courage to finish that jumble of story-telling mediocrity.

So now bringing the two tangents together: We're pretty much agreed on BFBC2 > Black Ops? Generally speaking, of course.

Meh. If I'm playing an FPS at the moment I play Black Ops. BC2 had its day. It's obviously awesome when you first play it, but it's not as entertaining as it once was. All I've been playing lately is Black Ops multiplayer. I think they both have their rights and wrongs.

To further demonstrate my point, when BC2 came out I stopped playing MW2 for ages and BC2 was all I played for maybe 4 or 5 months. Then I felt like a change and went back to MW2 and played that again for quite a long time. I enjoy both series of games immensely, they're two very different games.

I'd have to agree that in COD, it's much easier to just pick the game up and start playing, whereas BFBC2 is a little more of an acquired taste. Speaking in terms of quality, though, I think Battlefield is just a little more polished. It also feels more like a team-based game- in Black Ops' team-based modes, the only time that I really interact with my allies is when I have to yell at them to stop blocking a door or to go and actually do something other than camping. Battlefield has a lot more strategy involved, especially when you consider the fact that it has destructible... well, everything, as well as vehicles. I'm not saying that Black Ops is bad, or that Battlefield is better in every possible way- for instance, in Black Ops, there is a much higher level of personalization and customization available- but generally speaking I think I'd have to side with Battlefield at the end of the day.

Battlefield also makes me rage a lot less. It might just be me, but there seem to be less dicks playing BF than there are in BO.

Well at the risk of streotyping, most of COD's online community seems to be 12 year olds who think everybody on earth has wronged them in every possible way all the time. Go from that to BFBC2, the online community of which seems to be people who are much more experienced at gaming, or rather much less experienced at being dicks.

I've encountered plenty of dicks on both games. Plenty of genuinely nice people in both, too.

Yeah, but the dicks seem to me to be few and far between compared to black ops, in which playing hardcore is a certain death once you call in a care package, team killing whores.

You'll find dicks who shoot you because they want the vehicle you're driving in Bad Company 2. There's dicks there, they just shoot you for a different reason.

On a different note, I need to find more people to play BC2: Vietnam with.

Besides the new maps, I think one of the best features of Bad Company 2: Vietnam is that helicopters can be damaged by small arms fire. RPGs still do the most damage to helicopters, but since there's no tracer dart, its nice that other weapons can damage choppers.

Changes you'll notice (besides the obvious graphical changes):
-The new maps have more jungle and foilage to sneak around in. There's a lot of trench warfare going on and one of the map comes pre-littered with tank corpses, Also, M-Com stations don't seem to be placed in destructable buildings anymore. Some of them are put in some really nasty places to defend or attack though.
-less weapons and less attachments. For example, no Red Dot or 4X Scope on your assault rifles. If you want to fire from long range, use a sniper rifle.
-A flamethrower. Yeah, a flamethrower. Torching trenches and lighting jeeps on fire is hilarious.
-All the US vehicles play 1960's rock music when you drive them around. The helicopters? They play "Flight of the Valkyrie".
-Helicopters can now be shot down by small arms fire

Bought Vietnam today, thought it was fantastic, and definatey worth the price, but I found that most of the people I enountered had abviously spent way to much tim on the maps since release, and therefore knew every hiding spot in the map, annoying for 'Nam newbies like me.

In response to wanting more people to play it with, my Gamertag is: z01db3r9 rul35. I know, way too many numbers, but when I tried to just put in "zoidberg rules" it said that it was taken, so after a lot of number for letter substitution, my GT was born.

As much as some of you seem to want to believe that by becoming Bad Company 2 players you are now part of the "good side", it is my wish to let you know that regardless of what you want to believe, there is just as much fuckassery in Bad Company 2, and a lot more camping.

There is certainy alot more camping going on in BFBC2, but in my experience, I find BFBC2 to be much, much better online, I know there is just as much fucking around, but in BC2, it doesn't seem to impact your game performance as much as it does in Black Ops, anyway, I don't see BC2 as the "good side" and even if I did, I play both so...

HAHA, I lit a helicopter on fire with the flamethrower and it exploded and killed all 4 occupants.

I have got to try that! Of course that's after I'm finished with Mass Effect 2 and it's DLC.

Honestly, I got lucky with the flamethrower. I think it was the map Hastings, there's a "hidden" helicopter pad that anyone can get to and it isn't blocked off by invisible 10-second death walls. I was following a half-dead chopper that had been annoying us and it happened to head towards the helipad there. So I hid in a nearby building and then when it circled around to land I ran out and just sprayed fire into the air at the chopper. The flamethrower really doesn't have any range unless you're shooting it down hallways so I think the flaming copter landed on me, but I managed to kill everyone there.

The Huey's really do need more health. They're insanely fast, but they're extremely weak. They can barely stand one pass across an active battlefield before having to retreat from all the damage. I suppose you're supposed to use the Huey differently than the Blackhawk in regular BC2. It does prevent players from using the choppers to camp the other team's spawns though.
