Gawker: Accounts hacked

Hey. This is sort of big news, but just in case you haven't noticed yet, a hacker group got a hold of Gawker's user database, and the encrypted passwords don't seem to be holding up. Users all over the world now have compromised accounts. This is particularly troubling for people who use the same password for a lot of stuff on the internet.

Since Gawker sites have a lot of users total, chances are some of you guys are in that database, and are now vulnerable to identity theft.

Gawker sites: Gawker, Gizmodo, Jalopnik, Jezebel, Kotaku, Lifehacker, Deadspin, io9, Fleshbot

Peace.

I heard about this earlier today. They LITERALLY asked for it. They dared hackers to hack them.

Also, they used a 3 year old encryption that's pretty much obsolete.

I've never used any of those sites, so I'm good. I hope none of you guys got caught up in it.

Heard of a couple, never used any of them, I don't tend to put my details onto a lot of websites...
