Sorry to hear it. I'm too old to have read his books when I was a kid, but I bought one for my nephew and he really liked it.

I read my first redwall book at 22, I'm still reading them at 30 : ) They aren't TOO kiddy, there's a fair amount of blood and violence and killing.

My abiding memories of Brian Jacques will always be of salivating over the sumptuous and richly-described banquet scenes.
Brian Jacques will always make me hungry.

Well, Terry Pratchett has Alzheimer's. Hopefully he holds out for a while yet.
At least Jacques finished one last book for his fans before he went. "The Rogue Crew" It'll be out in May, I plan to pre-order soon enough

I loved Gary Moore.
Posted this on Facebook yesterday: "Also, nearly forgot. Rest in peace to the lads. Now they can be forever writing cheesy riffs together in the afterlife."
Long live the memory of Phil Lynott and Gary Moore. True Irish musicians. Please forget Bono ever happened. Yours faithfully, the Irish people.

I've read almost all of his books except the newer ones. I only just heard about his death from a thread for a Redwall mod for Mount & Blade.
