How did you find out about Overgrowth?

I just saw the article on Receiver on Kotaku. I was going to go ahead and buy that but I noticed it was free with Overgrowth pre-orders. So I checked out Overgrowth, and realised it was a game that I had heard about ages ago and been really interested in. Currently downloading the latest release of Receiver and the latest alpha of Overgrowth, super excited to play them both!

Saw a couple of the development videos on youtube a while back. Forgot about it. Then it popped back into my head yesterday. Watched pretty much all the videos and pre-ordered today. Huzzah! \o/

Computer Modelling and Game Design is one of my interests. I frequent YouTube to find tutorials for Blender 3D and stumbled upon Overgrowth completely by accident. The first video I found was actually a fan-made trailer, but the related videos list lead me to the Wolfire channel and I immediately thought "I need to play this game".

I was reading the 'preview' of Receiver on Kotaku, and in the comment section, someone posted a video of A180 of OG. Saw the fighting mechanics, and I was hooked. I wish you guys could just dream up the game into reality! Can't wait!

Heard about it having Linux support on Reddit.
News travell very fast in the linux/foss world, I'd recon the linux news bumped up the youtoube views and that had a domino effect...

All though I doubt this matters, or will be read, but i heard of it from a friend. Games are like bacteria in the sense that the more people know about it, the faster the knowledge will spread. Especially if its a great game. 1 person tells 5 friends, those 5 tell 3 new people who haven't been told yet each making 21 and it keeps spreading, until the whole friend group knows. At that point, it comes from things like youtube videos as by now, there would be many videos. It will only keep spreading.
