The leaked Alpha 4 leaked build is here! A "leaked build" is when John and I literally grab the latest SVN build and package it up for you guys. It is not necessarily condoned by David, Phillip, and Aubrey, but we want to keep you guys in the loop and give you stuff to play with regularly!

New in this version
- a fugly multiplayer chat window. It doesn't do anything for now, but it will soon.
- awesome shadows!

P.S. be sure to delete your shadow caches! Just delete the whole Program Files/Wolfire Games/Overgrowth directory and you should be fine.

Also, press P to toggle wireframe stuff.

For Mac OS X, the cache lives at ~/Library/Application Support/Lugaru 2/Data/.

I don't know what it is, but whenever I try to download alpha 3 or 4 from Safari, it only goes so far and then proclaims that it is finished. I had to use cocoawget to download them.

Also, is there any build that would be close to being "blessed"?

Is it possible to have an "update package" along side the installers, where only files which have changed in the build are included and we just extract them to the root install folder... Makes more sense as far as bandwidth goes. I understand it is potentially more work... but perhaps not?

Yes, the syntax error in the firstterain.frag shader has been fixed.
