My next wacky idea, also better than any other
Re: My next wacky idea, also better than any other
Medi kit... I dunno I prefer the idea of berries, or some other thing that at least gives a little bit of an energy boost, perhaps makes your vision a little less dark/blurry, but not much more.

It would be really cool to have to apply bandages to wounds. That would require some pretty dramatic dynamic texturing though. It would only be worth it if it was done really well.

Ahh man that would be sick. Like a damage system similar to Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, but instead of instantly healing yourself and looking good as new, you just apply more bandages to your body that stay on until the wound is healed and you take them off.
I think it would also be cool if you could stain your clothes with your enemy's blood, like in Mount and Blade, and the stains would stay until you washed them off in a river, or until the end of the level. It would be pretty bad ass to kill a bunch of enemies with a sword and be covered in their blood, and just walk away dripping with blood.

But then wolves will find you easier. Would you have to roll around a bit, find a jug of water, or put on some new clothes? I don't think water will be in overgrowth... at least not like... large bodies of water you can stand knee high in/swim in.

We'll see about that...Ozymandias wrote: I don't think water will be in overgrowth... at least not like... large bodies of water you can stand knee high in/swim in.
*evil snigger*
But the cleaning yourself off to stop making trails so's enemies won't follow you is a very nice idea. I like.

Heres another Invintory idea: Musk/something of the effect.
Cuases Sniffers to be unable to detect you until some effect counters it or they see you blatently clear as day. Paticularly useful when infaltrating a wolfs den.

I dunno, even if it's just a suggestion, i still think that if all the ideas made it into OG, it definitely wouldn't feel like a sequel to UG.

That's a problem? You would want to limit the game just so it feels more like a sequel?

im sure David and Jeff will decern whats actualy important to the game, like the implementation of Zombislaying Relics.
In the end they get the final word, we all understand that, but its not our place to say what will or will not be implemented, its our job to inspire the team with Our ideas. WE ARE FANS!

Well... yeah.BunnyWithStick wrote:That's a problem? You would want to limit the game just so it feels more like a sequel?
We're all here for a sequel to Lugaru. We expect Overgrowth to actually feel like a sequel to Lugaru. Otherwise we'd spend $30 on an indie Metal Gear Solid 3 clone.

I don't think the game would need to be limited just to feel like a sequel...
Also, I sort of think the whole idea behind this is for the developers to be trying new things... I think.
