This doesn't happen the first time the game is launched, only when alt-tabbing back to it.
I have two monitors as well and I don't have this problem.
I should have expanded on my uncommon config. My second monitor is an LG flatron w2220P that I rotated for programming purposes and thus used the provided software to do the rotation (I know drivers can do this too but I get an error whenever I try). My problem might be linked to this software or we have different gpu brands (Nvidia for me) but this is the only game that reacts like this (played Silent storm and L4D lately with no alt-tabbing issues). So seeing how it kinda "worked" in the previous version except for the mouse pointer showing up in the game window only after alt-tab... I'm not sure what to think.

Hi there!

Here's my list of things that make this game less enjoyable that it really seems to be:
  • The starter could really need a "Set to defaults" button in the input tab. Is there a file with the mapping somewhere or does it write to the registry? (I've searched for both, but didn't find anything yet.) It's a bit confusing to see different mappings displayed in-game (I have seen David's todo list). It might have to do with the next point on the list:
  • Is it correct that one has to Alt-F4 on Windows to quite the game? oO
  • On my deliberatly low-spec (old i3, 4GB RAM and HD45xx running W7 [with two monitors]) game development computer at work, this runs just too slow to be fun / playable with everything set to the lowest end (not that there is much to set anyway). I don't see any significant improvements by changing anything, which is quite odd. There seems to be massive overdraw, especially in some corridors.
That's all the feedback I can give you right now.

Best regards.

I think so, but I won't spoil anything. :P

Hm, interesting. I have a Nvidia as well. I know this issue, I've encountered it with other games, just not with Receiver.

Same here... Or at least something usable in Wine . It's close... I suspect, as Frazz mentioned a while back, the only problem with incompatibilities is the Input.GetAxis() function as described here: http://ratking.de/2012/06/07/unity3d-an ... -via-wine/
The solution is also listed there, so David, please at least take a look at it :)

Is it really dark for anyone else? On my mac it's almost impossible to see anything, but on my PC it's fine.

For fun, I typed some cheat codes from an old game, I played a lot, when I was young. An then I thought "wtf?!". They worked. X-D

Cheatcodes for Immortality and Full Ammo. Nice Idea, David! But I didn't get the cheat for Slow-Motion. :-) Still trying... :-P

I don't know, if it's allowed to post the codes, so I do not post them. :-/ Sorry. But here is a tip: The Codes are from an old FPS released 1993. Hope I didn't tell to much. ;-)

Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany and my english is not very well.

I have spotted two glitches:
- new area loading is noticable, sometimes lasts even few seconds.
- there are visible "gaps" between floors of two different areas.

Also, how can i turn on slow-motion? It is kind of Wolfire's brand feature

Oh my god, I knew which cheat codes you meant before I even finished reading the first sentence. I'm only slightly disappointed by the fact that you're apparently allowed to finish the game with cheats. It'd be awesome if using the cheats changed the content of the tapes to something like "you've taken the dishonorable shortcut to power, you will never become Awakened" and stopped the tape counter.

It is fairly dark. Gloomy, I would say. It depends on the particular area. Some areas are fairly well lit, but some are almost pitch black. Personally I'm hoping a flashlight might get added at some point.

Also, I've been playing RC4 for some time now and I haven't seen a single sideways turret yet. :D

So since the game was release I have an FPS issue. Regardless of graphical setting I put it on I get 7-10 FPS, in the newest version too. I'm not sure if there is an problem on my end but a solution would be greatly appreciated.

I run a Wind7 Home Premium with nVidia Geforce GT540M.

Are there going to be mods, or just other weapons being added?

Really enjoying this, played it for a few hours on and off over the last day. Very immersive and even if the narrative is vague its interesting and i am motivated to go forward to get all 11 tapes.

as for my wish list :)

- Invert mouse, im one of those.
- instead of the floating gun, have an option to have it fixed. ARMA lets you do this and its nice with the option.
- leaning, since death is so quick being able to peak around a corner seems very helpful.

Thanks for the great game and im looking forward to this and Overgrowth.
