Parkour Videos

Post by pookaguy » Fri Mar 18, 2011 11:19 pm

Inspired by the project showoff thread, post parkour videos (Or other OG parkour related things) here!

The map was not made by me and is included in the description and Project Showoff.
It was all one continuous run, but fraps only records 30 seconds at a time.

This is really cool-- I really like how you used the decals to show how to navigate some of the areas. That kind of thing can be really hard to communicate, and giving a little hint doesn't take away from the fun in my opinion.

It isn't my map, it's just me playing through it. I found the map in the Project Showoff thread.

No wonder, it's a very nice run through a nice map.

Do you have a link to the original map or the post in which it was mentioned? I think I'd like to try that level myself.

The map is in the description of the video, and is in the project showoff thread. (Page 7 or 8, I think)

When showing off this kind of thing I love to roll while wall running, since you can roll while wall running at a few frames, and you do a sort of wall running flip which looks quite cool, you should do that in your next vid ;D

Nice run, a fair ammount smoother than most of my runs, I can't seem to get him to grab the ledges as you do, makes free running a little more challenging using only hops and wall runs. Plus is there a way to get him to pick up and use weapons, I couldn't find any way on Lugaru either unless he already had them. :P

In Lugaru, you needed to roll over them and press q, in OG just press and hold right click.

Just to say the weapon controls are probably going to change, the developers in the alpha videos have said a few times the controls are place holders during testing.

I made a little Parkour Video for u all to enjoy( i hope)

I have absolutely no editing skills whatsoever therefor its a ttl mystery to me why the format got all mixed up and stuff.(prolly the resolution..)

Some of the Jumps are rather simple others take a little more time to pull off.
If anybody is planing a project like maybe a big Trickjump Movie count me in xD

Greets o.O
