Make it so you can specify OG directory if it is not found automatically, so I can place it somewhere else. Good job otherwise! It would also be cool, but unnecessary, if you could integrate the actual youtube video instead of a picture for the update. That's not important though.

Same thing as weaster4, the exact same error. Tried to use this because installing Overgrowth manually became kinda impossible after some time as it was referring to Awesomium.exe not working and such.
The thing is probably that at first, before entering the key, the file told me that it wouldn't find "C:/Users/piotr/Desktop/Data[...]", and since my PC is Polish, "Users" is changed to "Użytkownicy", and "Desktop" becomes "Pulpit", so I'm not really sure.

hmm, for some reason nothing happens when i launch the jar file. i stopped the firewall because i though it was blocked but no luck. when i run it the process "javaw.exe" is shown in the task manager for a second. i installed java maybe two weeks ago so it cant be too old.
im using win xp service pack 3.

The only problem with the in-game config editor is that the changes wouldn't take effect until you restarted the game (which is why it is more convenient to just set them before launching).

I wouldn't mind it having to restart, almost every game I know has "You need to restart the game for some settings to take effect"

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback; I'll be doing a lot of work on the SUMLauncher today. Hopefully I'll have some fixes done in not too long, and be able to publish an update.

Glad you are all so exited for this! I think it will be a great asset to our modding community. Please bear with us as we get through these early stage fixes. We're hoping to bring you some amazing tools, and your feedback is crucial to making it work for the community.

EDIT: By the way, I don't think it's clear in the initial post, but this Overgrowth updater will update multiple versions of overgrowth, so you can even use it on old versions of the game. It will still update one alpha at a time, so if you're on a62, and want to update... it might be faster to just download it again... but if you're on a150, it shouldn't' take you too long to get caught up!

Yup I get the same error message. Error Reading game version file. null

Then it says crash detected and adds it to my log. So uhhh... yeah. Not working for me.

I'm not sure if this will help any of you, but for me at least, this can't be in a directory with a space. That includes all parent directories.

Could you please upload the version.xml file from your Overgrowth/Data/ folder please? It would help me in fixing this issue.

This issue has already been fixed for the next revision, which should be out very soon. I apologize for the difficulties.

n order to install the SUMLauncher, simply download the .zip file, and extract SUMLauncher.jar to the same directory as your Overgrowth executable file. <-- i do this and have it in the correct directory ( i think) and i double click the jar and nothign happens just asks me what i want to open it with?

Please make sure you have a recent version of Java installed - http://java.com/
