Hello everybody. I am using a Mac computer, and had the issue of “SUMLauncher is damaged and can’t be opened....” So, I followed all the steps that troubleshooting listed, and encountered a problem. On the part where I have to select the “Allow apps to be downloaded from:” the troubleshooting guide says to click “Anywhere” however, this is not an option for me. There is only 2 options that say “App store” and “App store and identified developers.” I was just wondering if there was a simple solution to this since I’m not the most tech savvy person. Thank you so much,

Now, if somebody wants to open an unsigned app, they have to control click and select Open from the context menu.

Edit: oh well, when I control click SUMLauncher then press open that way, it still pops up as damaged and unable to open. Thank you for the help, and I’ll continue to look into it!

At startup, SUM 3.0.8 receives an HTTP Error 500 when querying sql.php.

I am also receiving the message: " Error loading content from server. Server returned HTTP response code 500 for URL http://ogmods.antonriehl.com/utilities/sql.php "

I just bought OG from steam, followed all instructions completely, and got to the preorder forum. My question is, am I supposed to install one of the other OG games, like the beta? I am using the steam version currently....as far as I saw, there was no non-steam prerequisite. Maybe I'm mistaken.

edit- The launcher remains in initializing... mode after selecting ok on the error message. After ten minutes it still says "initializing..."

A 500 error code means that there is an error on the server side. This is a standard web error code, like a 404 is "not found", so if you see it on any web page in the future then you can be sure the server is broken in some way.

I will poke Anton about this and see if it is something he can fix.

Anton and I tried to fix the 500 error in SUMLauncher, but didn't manage to solve the problem entirely. We'll take a look at it again some time in the future, but Anton is super duper busy with at least 2 big projects right now, and we're about to bug him for more music for Wolfire, so it'll probably be a while until we can look at it again.

I asked Anton for a dump of the SUMLauncher DB, so people aren't out on the cold on this. Here's a post with that list: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=44783

Right now SUMLauncher doesn't work at all, there are some issues that need to be worked out. The Steam Workshop is likely to have many more working mods and levels because it's updated more often.

You can get some of the same mods on the Steam Workshop, and most of the same mods from this list here (with a bit more manual labor required - and some of them might be out of date): viewtopic.php?f=13&t=44783

We are currently not planning any more updates for SUMLauncher. Sorry. The community in Discord might be a better place to find things you are looking for.
