Code: Select all

Error: Lua error detected: deps.lua:528: attempt to compare string with nil
While the installer is verifying dependencies.
I took a look into that file, it seems as though one library has a version of format x.y and another has x.y.z. When it compares the z-part it does not gracefully handle the missing third number.

Using Arch Linux on x86_64, if that's of any interest.

this has been happening for a while now, but some bogus folder structure is created:

Code: Select all

E:\Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Textures\Cursors
E:\Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Documents\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Textures\Terrain\red_desert

I still can't load the arena asset, it gives me a fatal error before it finishes loading it.

What frontend it tries to find? I have both qt and gtk installed. Also most of people would prefer it to be simple archive not some hack together installer.
This is a known problem and happens because the installer runs out of space in the /tmp/ directory. A workaround is to run

Code: Select all

sh a180-linux.sh --keep
or

Code: Select all

./a180-linux.sh --keep

Ah yes, that works. Using the forum search would have been the wise thing to do...
Just had to install libjpeg6 from the AUR and the game was ready to go.
Thanks!

Basically anything Linux related is in that thread. :)

Also, Jeff, I still experience serious lag whenever ragdolls come into effect.
Hardware: i7-870, geforce gtx 260 superclocked, 4 gigs of ddr3 @ 2300.. :/
(works without lag under wine btw)

Edit: perhaps I was being a bit naive... something about the Desert Outpost causes lag for me....

Also, keep getting this error:

Code: Select all

Case error! /home/kota/.local/share/Overgrowth/ should be /home/kota/.local/share/Overgrowth

Can you provide those two altered files? I can't seem to patch them :(

I'm getting an error with the latest windows build... when loading any level, a dialog box pops up saying "Unknown file "Data/Particles/rasypark.xml" did not load correctly." and Cancel, Try Again, Continue. Continue crashes the game and the rest quit.

I went to the folder and the file is indeed missing. I've been updating using the changes-only zip since a165 and every build up to this one worked just fine.

Might be a side-effect of the new loading system. My guess is that rayspark.xml was never added to the differential update. Can someone please upload it?
