Mac Problems.

Post by Penitent Tangent » Sun Sep 30, 2012 2:19 pm

So I'm using a Mac (OS X Version 10.7.4) and some, heck, nearly all hotkeys won't work. Can't attach armor, customize color, etc. Does anyone know why that is?

i have the same mac but not the problems, i would delete your overgrowth and reopen the zip file again, i did that and now im getting 50fps and only 1 bug that I'm aware of.
to attach armour you press ALT. does that not work for you ...strange but i would download another Overgrowth application and see if that works.

Can you verify which hotkeys specifically?

To change the color of OBJECTS you select it and press cmd-p - but to change the colors of a character, you select it and press cmd-shift-p

In terms of the armor not attaching, if you have loaded in the object, instead of the ITEM version, it will not attach. You can tell the difference, because the ITEM version has a white spawn box, and when added to the level, it will have physics. If it is the OBJECT version, it will have a black spawn box, and will just appear to be static.

For information on how to add the ITEM version, check this post: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=16416&start=15#p174552

Hot-keys are working fine for me, but I'm running OS X 10.6.8.

Sorry. I just don't like macs much. Feel free to delete it.

No need to delete, but I imagine that you can find the strength to keep these kinds of opinions out of the forums.
