There is no set release schedule for updates, check the blog and youtube channel often to be alerted when an update DOES come out.

Like David sayed in his last Overgrowth video the new alpha should be out in couple of days. I say he will put it out in the weekend.

They used to be set weekly updates, but the team at Wolfire found that this schedule led them to just make big, visible changes. They weren't working on a lot of the small stuff necessary for really getting the game running the way it's meant to, so now they refrain from scheduling updates. They get released when they are ready to be released.
