Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
I love Overgrowth, and since I use mac for work, I find it more convenient to play it on mac, rather than rebooting. It has always worked well, but when I downloaded alpha 207, it just crashes whenever I launch the game. (Error Message: http://pastebin.com/4EEiALP6 ) Any ideas what is wrong? I have tried restarting my computer.
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
did you update the alpha using sum launcher or did you download a fresh alpha from spf or steam?
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
wait there is already alpha 207?!?!?!!?!?
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
no, the alpha number text in game files says a207 but it is still a206rodeje25 wrote:wait there is already alpha 207?!?!?!!?!?

Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
Oh, I updated with Sum Launcher. I'll try getting it from the website.
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
sum launcher currently breaks the new alpha when used to update from a### to a206(aka,a207)Lord_Ardget wrote:Oh, I updated with Sum Launcher. I'll try getting it from the website.

Can't play either it sucks
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
did you use sum launcher to update the alpha or no? if you did then download the game from the forum or steam if you use steam.SugarRush wrote:Can't play either it sucks
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
I actually tried both already. Nothing works. As soon as I launch ANY level it just crashes.samjb1992 wrote:did you use sum launcher to update the alpha or no? if you did then download the game from the forum or steam if you use steam.SugarRush wrote:Can't play either it sucks
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
Have you also tried to enable steam advanced testing feature?
David says in his twitter, that he put recently out a new test build for steam, that can only be download through advance test. Maybe it helps, who knows.David wrote:Because Steam automatically downloads updates to every user, I am trying out doing an advance build of Alpha 205 to sanity-check it, and make sure it still works. If you would like to try this, please go to your Steam library, right-click Overgrowth, choose Properties, then Betas, and opt into "advance_testing". It should automatically download the new build changes
Re: Alpha 207 not launching on Mac
do you have the steam version? I use the steam advance testing branch version mostly and the game work fine for me, have not tried the stand alone version too much with a206 though.SugarRush wrote:I actually tried both already. I would try the steam advanced testing branch and see if it helps

That doesn't work either. And it's seriously starting to get on my nerves.samjb1992 wrote:do you have the steam version? I use the steam advance testing branch version mostly and the game work fine for me, have not tried the stand alone version too much with a206 though.
