Jump height.

Post by latranchedepain » Sat Nov 29, 2014 4:14 pm

It's pretty cool to bring this new thing. All that are not rabbits can't jump really high.
Hell no, cats are really good and jumping and shit, why do they have to jump as high as regular human beings ? And maybe dogs and wolves too !
Please, next time, remove this and make an additional character parameter which allows us to SET the jump height. Would be a lot better.

Tell what you think. :o

The jump differences are just a proof of concept to show that different species can have different abilities. If you want a character to be able to jump as high as a rabbit, go to it's xml file (the one where its attacks and animations are defined in as well) and add the this line before the last line:

Code: Select all

    <tags species = "rabbit"/>

Thanks for the answer. Where can I find the character xml ? In objects/characters or data/characters or IGF_characters ?

EDIT : Oh and, is there a way to edit this jump height in scripts ? I mean, if the rabbits can jump high and not the other species, then there must be a way to set this jump height.

The default characters are in Data/Characters.

Custom ones are in the Data/Custom folder in the section of the respective author.

I think cats should be able to jump slightly lower than rabbits, but more than other characters. And also cats should be able to wall run higher than all characters as that's what cats usually do :3
