Overgrowth NOT WORKING- Mac 10.8.5

I finally was able to get the resolution right for my computer, but on the main menu screen, it seems as if the game is not responding. None of my clicking, or any keys do anything. I cannot select a map or click any of the settings buttons. Nothing is working, all i can do is stare at the menu screen. I have no idea what could be causing this.
