ScarXL, what SUMLauncher bug are you refering to?
Currently SUMLauncher isn't being maintained because the original developer has other engagements and i haven't had time to get into it myself.

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a224 build
Alphas not appearing as an new update that can be installed, it is as if there is no update and the game has the latest version installed. And mods don't work. But I got it now; what bothers me now is the pixelated textures that you saw in the screenshot. I did delete my game files and cache and re-installing but to no avail. Even tried enabling/disabling Gamma Correction, Simple Shadows and changing texture qualities. No avail.
Hope that pixelated bug thing will be fixed in the hotfix, along with the menu zoomed in bug.

I think it's got less to do with a good bug report and more to do with me actually stumbling on every single a224 unique bug possible.Autious wrote:(Thanks in particular to Timbles for a good report).

Timbles, not really that as much as you giving a good description and helpful image.
Most bug reports are very vague and unspecific (and angry), often leaving us very little to go on.
ScarXL your visual bug is new to us, and kinda different. Does it appear on all levels or just red shards? Could you send us another couple of screenshots? As far as i know we don't have the hardware to reproduce.
I'd also love to get your hwreport.txt and logfile.txt files, it might help us figure out what could be wrong.

I reverted to a223, I don't think I'm downloading a224 again...
Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a224 build
At some point, I'd also appreciate an option in the config to automatically have the main menu to into the "Editor" Main Menu, just for custom levels.
Either that or a custom level text field in the game-y main menu.

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a224 build
I've released a224.2 on steam, it fixes the menu bug and the arena mode "invalid GUI state"-bug. They seemed to be the most game breaking issues.
Feel free to discuss if anything else needs prioritized attention.

Timbles: I'll think about that, i totally get what you mean, it would be very practical for people who are working on levels, like you.
Edit: Actually, currently it's possible to something similar in the settings menu, it allows the game to start in a level immediately. You just uncheck the "Start game in menu" option and set the path to your level relative to Data/Levels/

I get these errors on a224.2:Autious wrote:I've released a224.2 on steam, it fixes the menu bug and the arena mode "invalid GUI state"-bug. They seemed to be the most game breaking issues.

Then it spits this and crashes.
I'm posting these bug reports on both [email protected] & the forum.

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a224 build
Hey Timbles, that must be a mod again, i can't find and instances of "allow_rolling" in our own codebase.
Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a224 build
Weird; I don't even have any script mods installed.Autious wrote:Hey Timbles, that must be a mod again, i can't find and instances of "allow_rolling" in our own codebase.
The error only appears on a224.2 (when I'm on the Steam branch for advance_testing or internal_testing).
I'm pretty certain I have a vanilla Data/Scripts folder.
Maybe the Steam branches aren't synced yet(???).

I don't know, to be sure i'd go into the steam folder and clear the scripts folder and the mods folder to let steam redownload the content. I'm not sure how SUMlauncher handles removal of mods, but i know it's not a trivial problem and therefore mistakes may happen.
