Multiplayer?
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows whether multiplayer will still be implemented into Overgrowth?
Re: Multiplayer?
Yup, that's the plan. Unless you guys want water instead.
Re: Multiplayer?
I'll take multiplayer. I can't wait for my dude to FIGHT your dude, you dead.

Re: Multiplayer?
I'd rather have water, Jeff. Jeeeff, give me water. I want water! Waterrr!
Haha, no, I'd much rather kick other people in the head over the net any day.

Re: Co-op?
One of the main doods said that co-op would be a main feature for multiplayer (woohoo)mphasis wrote:I would like to see Co-op.
And lots of fun multiplayer gameplay.
And mods.
And a new combat system.
And a prettier game.
And pretty much everything else we know you are working on, and some things we don't.

Re: Multiplayer?
Multiplayer is infinitely more important than water: multiplayer is what gives games near-infinite replay value, given that it's an awesome enough game.
Water, on the other hand, would be totally badass, but it's really only a novelty, and won't give the game endless replay value, as would multiplayer.
But I think the Wolfire team already knows that

Haha, that's right.Viking Zippy wrote: near-infinite replay value
Even at this moment, there are STILL people playing Rune deathmatches out there...
Rune being a game nearly as old as me...

Re: Multiplayer?
Coincidentally, I just re-installed Rune recently. However, not owning the expansion pack basically means that there are no servers to join =(Glabbit wrote:Haha, that's right.Viking Zippy wrote: near-infinite replay value

I remember having so much fun in the demo...
Re: Multiplayer?
Mods + multiplayer = longevity.

Mods + multiplayer + water = more longevityVrav wrote:Mods + multiplayer = longevity.
Re: Multiplayer?
Maybe not dynamic, but you could surely mod simple water in. I am of the opinion that the devs are pulling our collective leg about there not being water in the engine, unless David has a secret phobia or hatred for the substance.
