Well, to me it sounds like the new flute hits some sour notes while doing the pitch shifting. Are you intentionally adding a wavering effect to the flute? Maybe raise the flute an octave and it won't be as noticeable?

Personally I love the new theme. Btw, the wavering effect sounds kickass.

The flute is actually recorded live, so it is pretty realistic :)

Pretty wicked. A big step up from Lugaru's depressing (and stolen?) main theme.

If using something that is public domain and intended for free use in video games is stealing, then yes.

I thought that flute sounded a little too real to be synthesized.

The old Lugaru soundtrack was definitely very depressing. I mean, it fit the story very well, but that's the main problem with it. It fit the story a little too well, to the point of making people sad every time they hear it.

My bad, I did not realize that it was public domain. I just heard it in multiple places before.

For the record, I personally love Lugaru's soundtrack. It was very effective in making the game interesting for me.

I like this new track, the real flute adds a nice fullness.

Unfortunately it was really dry in California while recording that flute, and the high Eb was hard to keep in tune (which is a weird note on that flute anyway). So you may be hearing some artifacts of tuning the note a little...

Fair enough. If you want I can count the measures and tell you which note you hit that was a little off. Also, I think your flute should be a little louder. The other instruments make it hard to hear as soon as the panflutes come in.
