Well, I figure I better get this bug fixed before the game gets too fancy. I've already shown Jeff a video of it from Alpha 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO_661eEZlQ (Make sure you click Watch in High Quality)
Someone on IRC said that it's a distance fog error caused by my GPU running out of memory. I have a 256MB video card... so that can't be the problem.
Now we're at Alpha 5 and the glitch/bug is still there.
As you can see, just one corner of the world has a huge mass of pixelated textures. When you turn the camera you can see that the other half of the world is fine...
(The scene looks really awesome btw, David )
One other problem is the textures on the objects. You can see that one the "sunny side" of the objects the textures look fine.
But when you turn to the other side there is a very weird noise all over the textures.
Now for my system specs.
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 630 Prescott 3.0GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Single-Core EM64T Processor
Memory: 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 Memory
Video: ATI Radeon X800GTO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16
OS: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
Anything else you need to know?
