They're a natural part of the mammal body and they should be included. Not as a sexual thing or anything, but because I think that anthropomorphic animals like the whaleman look quite silly and fake when they have Barbie crotches. On top of that, simply including genitals does not make a game inappropriate in any way. I believe that anyone who makes a big deal out of it is probably echoing some other self-righteous bickerer who is probably echoing some other self-righteous bickerer, etcetera, and it all got out of hand. Are genitals really offensive, especially animal ones? Especially compared to huge blood-baths and the breaking of rabbits' and other furry animals' spines?

I realize the commercial implications of this, it's usually more profitable to stay on the politically correct side. But say that the Wolfire team saw another anthropomorphic animal fighting game being developed, or the team were making Overgrowth as a part-time hobby free of charge or something, would you be for or against genitals being included? I'm especially interested as to what Overgrowth's devs think about this, so make sure you guys reply.

You're speaking as if the characters would be constantly aroused, and that's not what Skofo is saying at all. Americans tend to be the only ones squeamish about showing genitals.

I was surprised one day when my Korean cousin was describing comic books in South Korea. Apparently they would freely draw genitals on young characters if they were in some situation where caught nude. This isn't "hentai" comics he's talking about either. Just plain mainstream comics.

I think Skofo is saying since most of it is covered in fur that it wouldn't be blatantly in your face. I could totally see balls being included but of course penis wouldn't be necessary.

I guess for the dog, the lipstick is sheathed or whatever, but there are various rats, squirrels etc. which have enourmous scrotums even if they're not aroused.

I'm not obsessed at all. I don't need them to be happy. I just think it would be kind of cool. It would show that you're not afraid of showing that kind of stuff. I mean... this isn't a kid's game and other cultures in the world have no problem showing that kind of stuff. It would prove once and for all that Turner is a real man! RAWR!

If they include scripting and you want to script in a shot of someone getting hit in the nuts where that part moves realistically, we can't stop you, but it's been pretty established that Wolfire aren't doing it themselves.
