I think that would be good, I think if they announced that the game could run at 600 FPS I would be happier :) it is still a little slow

The Linux client (:

But haven't they already announced both multiplayer _and_ Linux client? I guess I don't really understand you question.

The Wolfire team knows that multiplayer is a much requested feature, so they would be insane not to include it (no matter how difficult it would be to implement). However, I don't think it's quite set in stone... but I'm optimistic seeing how they were toying around with it a while ago.

Wolfire has said that they like supporting the three major platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) so you can be assured that eventually there will be a linux version. However, I don't believe they actually develop the game for linux, but have somebody else convert it (like someone did with Lugaru) ... ... I have no idea how it works, but the bottom line is that the linux version might take a bit longer than the Mac and PC versions... or the Mac and PC versions will be delayed for the sake of releasing everything at the same time.

As for what I'd like to see announced... hmmm... well I -am- curious how they're going to handle throwing and ranged weapons (knives, slings, etc.)

But the windows/mac version has been out for a while, thus my point. Linux will be supported, but delayed. I'm sure Linux users are used to that sort of deal though, right? :P

That's not a reason to include multiplayer, and it hasn't been requested that often, any way. Many more people have requested Linux version, for example, and if cross-platform multiplayer doesn't work they should drop multiplayer rather than Mac, Linux or Windows. Another thing that gets requested a lot is ability to remove limbs, and just because it's requested a lot doesn't mean it should be included.

I hope they will include multiplayer, but I think not including it would be just a tough decision and not insane at all.

no support for non-square textures is the biggest problem for me, every other engine i've used supports this.

You couldn't really enjoy much more than 70 of them, anyway. Image
But seeing as FPS is just an average figure, 600 might help.

I think the annunciation of a Cooperative Campaign would do it for me. Hell, I would purchase the game another time, just to have someone to play with.
