In this mod you fight increasingly difficult waves in an arena. Unlike my first arena mod, this does not break every level that isn't designed for this mod. You gain full health after every wave.
To play, load a level called "arenamode.xml". If you die and don't want to restart press R and you will start at the beginning of the wave.



Download! (a167)
Extract and merge the Data folder with your Program Files/Overgrowth/Data folder.

I get an Error when I try to install it.

'ERR: enemycontrol.as (727,2) Unexpected end of file'

tried re-installing it. just no working :(

I'm getting the same error. It must be something in one of the other files though, since this mod doesn't replace that file...

There was a problem on how I was merging the lines that needed to be replaced. I think I fixed it. Here's the fix: aschar.as
I updated the main download too.

In the a167 update, I get an "Error in enemycontrol.as" as soon as I launch the map.
Any ideas?

That's weird :S
I have to download a clean install first (1.8gb) since I've modified too many files to patch it up.
I'll look into it when the alpha is downloaded.

I do use the SUMLauncher, there's a possibility of interference there(?)

There were some problems with the file merging and some other logical mistakes.
I fixed those but in this alpha the way that weapons are handled in the engine changed completely and there is a lot to update. I updated to that system and I think it should now be technically correct, but Overgrowth crashes for me when anything related to weapons happens.
I updated the original download link, so you can try to download it again and try if you can get it working.
If it won't work I won't sadly have time to fix it this week so the update will have to wait :(

It stuffed up my overgrowth :C Stupidly I did not backup. Is there a way to restore?

Hmm it seems that my update didn't upload correctly. Well it's probably broken anyway.
Sorry for the inconvenience. To fix it without downloading a new alpha just download this and merge the Data folder with your /Program Files/Overgrowth/Data folder.

I guess it's not quite working with the current build, so you will have to download Alpha 166 and install it for that. Then type ArenaMode.xml into the custom map text box.
