There is a packback that he is coloring in that video. This is done with Normal map alpha channel.
Ooh, nice. Thanks for that.

No, you will need to merge the files with your overgrowth build, and then load the characters manually. (Or play the default level that has them in game, by typing Oni.xml into the menu and pressing load).

To load them manually, you click the load object button, then press "Load External Object", (the little folder), then navigate to "Data/Objects/characters " and open any of the files that end in "Actor.xml"

Had too much time yesterday (no I hadn't. I just plain didn't want to do my bills...), so I worked on the files to make them appear in the characters tab to make them a bit easier to put into maps.
The thumbnails are from http://wiki.oni2.net/Main_Page, the Konoko one is from http://www.raysnet.com/konokosworld/tctf.htm.

Huge props to Le Petit Docteur, the creator of The Motherflippin' Bat. I basically just looked at the way he had organised his mod and applied that to this mod (with the addition that here the thumbnails will show in the menu without you having to drag the images in the folder ;D).

EDIT: Are there any tricks to adding attachments to posts here? Can't seem to get it to work.
Oh well. I'll just do it that way.

Thank you very much for the mod, EdT. I didn't believe that these models would work that well with Overgrowths animations.

I'm going to bump this topic just to say the Konoko character no longer loads in the game. The other three characters you rigged still do work though. This happens with versions 206 and above. I have been having trouble getting my characters loaded in too with those versions of the game. Just an FYI.

Thanks for this. I haven't played when using those models yet but I'm sure I feel right at home. I still play Oni from time to time. Got a physical copy and it works flawlessly on any Windows version.

Here is how (really simple): http://oni.bungie.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2566

Have a great weekend!
