oh awesome, yeah that's great. for the menu mod id rather the average person be playing with the new weapons and either way the old versions will always be available here. thanks man, that should help our buddy Jimlii here too

Gogg.B1 wrote:Hey glad to hear that you got the alpha, so you downloaded the new weapons version TurnersCastleW.zip right? so what you want to do is navigate to your Overgrowth install folder which should look something like this 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfire' once your there you should see a folder called Overgrowth and thats where your game is installed. so now open the 'TurnersCastleW.zip' and extract it into that Overgrowth folder and that will put the Level files where they need to be. you want the .XML files in that .Zip to end up in your Overgrowth 'Levels' folder ('C:\Program Files\Wolfire\Overgrowth\Data\Levels' if you have windows). hopefully that helped, let me know if you're still having trouble.

You could also install the SumLauncher that updates your alpha every week and comes with a very nice map menu mod that gives easy one click access to this map and many many others, check it out here viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14201
Okay so I didn't have a folder named C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfire but I did have one called Data and one called levels within. I found the Castle Level inside and I popped Overgrowth and Sumlauncher inside that folder as well. Still won't work. Sorry I'm such a noob and thanks for the help. BTW I'm on a mac.

oh ok well you want to install SumLauncher in the Overgrowth folder.(In the Folder that has the Data folder in it 'but not in the data folder itself') you'll see the icon that starts Overgrowth in that folder, install SumLauncher next to that and run Sumlauncher and a window will appear asking if you want to install the menu mod. say yes and it will download the map pack which includes this one and you'll be good to go

It's actually a little easier on a mac... just put SUMLauncher in the same folder where you have the actual Overgrowth application, and run it from there. It will find it after that.

Unfortunately, it's still not working. I'm not getting any "menu mod" notifications or anything like that. I could upload a screenshot but it says I need a URL for some reason. Do I need to post it online?

EDIT: Just got that menu mod button to pop up and am DLing now.

Question about Turner's Castle

Post by CJAwesome » Sun Feb 26, 2012 3:33 pm

With the bit where you have to jump across the walls on the 3 rocks sticking out, what do you do at the last one that has a knife?

(Edited by Anton - Moved into the Turner's Castle thread which is where this should be asked...)

Hello CjAwesome, thanks for trying the map. is this the part that you're talking about? towards the beginning?
Overgrowth 2012-TCastle1.jpg
that's just up there to give you the option of a better weapon if you happen to checkup there. there is nothing else reachable from there so youll have to go the other way through the big door right here

Overgrowth 2012-Tcastle2.jpg
and after that youll get to practice some wall jumps. anyways i hope you like the level, please feel free to post here if you have any questions or suggestions for this map, have a good one
