[WEAPON] brass knuckles

Post by samjb1992 » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:25 pm

these brass knuckles took awhile to make but they work nicely.
if you don't like the texture please let me know what you would want and i will make it and put it up as a variant.

there is a read me text with it that says how to install but if you have any questions please let me know.

note--do not remove the attack xml files from the attack folder you get with the download or the knuckles will not work.

also they work best if you dual wield them so give that a try.

When I try to load them into the game it says I do not have permission to open the file. Any ideas on how to fix this? All of the files are shown as read-only, and I can't disable this.

I am using the xml files, and they are in my Data/Custom folder. I am on a fresh install of windows so I will try it again now. Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated.

I just downloaded it for the third time and it seems to work now. Maybe the files just became corrupted before or maybe something else, I really don't know. Thanks for the help. Oh, and the knuckles are awesome! :D

Tris is a common shorthand for triangles.

The mesh has 1652 triangles, so it's not exactly low poly. Low poly is usually 500 triangles or less, but it depends on the intended use too. Lowpoly for mobile phones or handheld consoles has stricter limits that lowpoly for modern computers.

I made a quick edit of the brass knuckles, removing nearby edges and cleaning it up. The shape is similar, although a bit simpler, but there are only 468 triangles.
