Don't place it in the Characters folder.
Place the stuff that is inside the DataTENGU folder in your game's Data folder.

How do you switch to tengu as a playable character? i can spawn him but he'll be an AI.

Can you make it so tengu can have white feathers? It always just stays blue :/
