[Map] Lunny Bunny Tribute

Post by Surak » Fri Aug 01, 2014 6:29 pm

I really enjoyed Spudys Lunny Bunny Races. So I decided to create my own version of a Lunny Bunny Race, I hope Spudy doesn't mind ;) It is not just a copy though, I tried to add my own style as well and I think the end result is pretty trippy and funny. Not as colorful as Spudys version, but... different 8)

Since it is a racing level I would also really like to see a competition like back in the days. Who is the fastest? Recordings are required as prove. The only rules are: Don't change the level and pass all rings.

Requirements are:
- Marcuss - American City
- Gyrth - Rocket, Landmine
- SteelRaven7 - Wipeout, Launcher
- Twowolves ruins stuff
- Thomason1005 - Slowmo
- HapHazard - Player Attribiutes
- Last - Last's Custom Objects

Everything should be in SUMLauncher, except the rockets. They are also a bit buggy. But they are not really important for the main part of the level, so, meh, who cares. I don't.

P.S.
Expect a lot of falling and ragdolls.

P.P.S.
The offical soundtrack to this level ;)

If you wonder why I did not include pictures... It is not so easy this time. Try the level out and you'll see why.

Sometimes the Wolfire Forums just kinda sees a cool map, and then just nobody plays it.
I have no idea, either; Lunny Bunny was motherfuckin' fun.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I am also glad that it worked for you, I wasn't sure how well it would run for other people  Some things are a bit buggy and have problems, like the last rocket. Look at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... xef4#t=179 You can see the rocket (the red dot) on the left, but it is not flying in the direction of the player. I am not sure why though. Maybe because it is so damn high? Or maybe the different rocket versions somehow mixed up.

well i think the reason you have so few downloads is because there is only ever one or two people around every week.

ive got to come here more often

Well, there were some slight bugs, but other than that it was still a ton of fun to play

Oh how I love the Lunny Bunny Races…

This is a great tribute.

And it's in SUMLauncher now… I think we should see a few more downloads. ;)

You can download the map with SUMLauncher, it will install all dependencies for you.

Why in the scripts?
Levels are installed by putting their xml files in the levels folder and then loading them through the text field in the main menu.

However, this level is already formatted in the style required by the SUMLauncher. The easiest way to install it is to use the SUMLauncher instead of downloading it from here. I mean, that's even in the opening posts.
