Multiple textures on a single model?

Post by RagdollZombie » Mon Jul 27, 2015 12:20 am

Has anyone tried doing this yet? I want to see if i can get a character model in Overgrowth that has more than one material/texture, is that possible? :?

I don't think this is implemented (or necessary for anything) in Overgrowth. Unless at some point there'll be implementation of clothes Lugaru style.

if you want, I can combine all the textures into one, I had to do this for the sintel character.

How do you do that? Would you have to re-unwrap part of the model?

Yeah, I use Blender. I want to see if I can import Life is Strange models into OG, but the models have seperate textures for the hair, body, face etc

I've done this similar thing in Blender a few times, although I still don't know the exact process for it. You can send me the models and see if I can help out.

Have you tried using the detailmap4 shader?

@Gyrth Nope, but Akazi helped me out with putting all the textures into one with blender!

Originally the hair, face, and clothing were completely different textures! Thanks again Akazi!! Akazi you and i should make a tutorial for this.

Plus i should make the character tutorial that i had promised over a year ago

Edit: Got one into OG but I'm getting this error on the actor :(

probably not related to the textures though. I made sure that all of the verticies are rigged to a bone but still get this :P
