How to use Mods

This is a quick and easy guide to help you install mods you download. This doesn't apply to mods from SUMLauncher.

Open your Steam Library, right-click Overgrowth, and select "Properties".
In the new window that opens, click the "Local Files" tab, and click "Browse Local Files". An Explorer window should open.
Within this window, open the Data folder, and then open the Mods folder inside that.

You should now see (at least) 2 folders, "example_mod" and "example_tcp_socket_mod". If you do, you're in the right folder. Take the mod you've downloaded, and extract it into this folder. Inside the folder you've just extracted, there should be a "Data" folder, and a "mod.xml" file. You may need to relaunch Overgrowth if it was running while you installed the mod.
