Looking for modders to help with a pretty big project

Post by AmorphousGamer » Tue Jul 16, 2013 4:33 pm

So me and my friend River are trying to do a pretty big project. We've been discussing new rules for the game and such and we're hoping to basically turn DG in to an entirely new game. We've been discussing new rules and tossing around ideas, and we hope to soon have an entirely new ruleset. However, many of our ideas would work best with the help of mods. Not too complicated, just the addition of a few new pieces and MAYBE a couple cards. It shouldn't be too hard at all. Any takers?

Hi guys. I'm going to tell you what we need right now to TEST these gamemodes with the new pieces (should they ever be made)
Then, and only then, will we be able to change how things work to optimize the ruleset.
I think all we need is:

Code: Select all

A.) More inventory space to put more health pieces.
B.) More health pieces. :P
C.) A small damage token, to show that an item is out of use.
D.) Change the description on Town to 'Sleep, eat, and store gold here.'
Optional

Code: Select all

Putting more same colored-pieces on the board, basically, copy the same piece twice, BUT don't remove the existing ones.
(Copy the green and blue player token thingies, and leave the red and yellow ones the same)
This would be to choose if you want to play teams or not.
A 'poison/toxic' marker, to show that a potion is toxic.
Change the Portal to Town Scroll's description and name to
Teleportation Scroll
Discard to teleport to Town or to your teammate

You have Skype?
We can try and work these things out perhaps... We need the coding part more than anything, really.
Doesn't matter if you can't draw well, we can use some placeholders if you know how to get this in-game.

I'd gladly join in once I'm done with my mod.
I have experience in graphic design aswell as 3d modelling, a little experience in coding aswell but i can't work wonders as of yet
I started fooling around in Unity 3d aswell..
Once I'm done with my mod I may be able to help out quite alot, even if its just for graphics and models :)

That sounds amazing. We might have to dig up our text files of all the random stuff we've discussed about this then. I suggest adding River (riverkiller99) or me (mrwiggle1999) on Skype and we can discuss this sort of thing. We dropped the project recently due to lack of willing volunteers to help us out, but it shouldn't be too hard to dig up again.

I cannot stress how much we'd... well, I'd be honored :P
I honestly forgot about this but would gladly return and dig out the ol' rulebook.
I also have photoshop and can get some basic art done.

Oops, it looks like this was a spam post. It searched for an existing sentence from the thread! And the profile doesn't link anywhere either. Weird. What's this even used for?
