Possessives, check 3rd grade grammar book.Freshbite wrote:I like making babies cry. =]
If you can guess what Anime this guy is from, then I will change it, perhaps.
Also, Wil, about the apostrophe. I'm not used to use it in that form.
For me, guy's transcribes into guy is. However, I guess you're right.

EDIT 1: How the hell do I manage to derail all my thread so epicly? O_o

Shi - yeah, I was a bit hasty there. "Its car" means "the car belonging to it" and "it's car" means "it is car". So yeah, "guys" is correct - my badFreshbite wrote:For me, guy's transcribes into guy is. However, I guess you're right.

Re: Disgusted
In the same post that you corrected someone else on the point of a grammatical error, you made a spelling error to do with Armored Wolf's name. Note this is not to say that "armoured" is not a spelling of the word, but it is not a spelling of the name. Pedantry is my favourite.Wilbefast wrote:And I'm disgusted by this guy's "this guys" lack of apostropheFreshbite wrote:I'm disgusted by this guys lack of patience.
Clearly the title is meant to grab your attention - think tabloid journalism. I'm sure Armoured Wolf is more "hang on, what happened to that interview?" and less "this is an OUTRAGE!"
No, you were right. "Guy" is different to "it". "Guy" is a noun. "It" is a pronoun. Possessive pronouns and possessive nouns have different rules.Wilbefast wrote:Shi - yeah, I was a bit hasty there. To summarise, it's "its", not "it's", but it's "guy's", not "guys".
That last sentence was intended to confuse.

Freshbite, if someone guesses what it is, will you let me choose your avatar for you?
Re: Disgusted
The challenge was kind of directed to Armored alone, since he does not seem like an Anime-watching kind of person.
I'll probably end up with something humiliating or something that only exists to your benefit. That was a no.Grayswandir wrote:Freshbite, if someone guesses what it is, will you let me choose your avatar for you?

Aha! This is a good time to announce my decision to NOT leave the forums!Renegade_Turner wrote:Nobody even likes you. Stop pretending to be cocky, you don't have the wits to back it up.Armored Wolf wrote:*A load of bollocks.*
Lol, just kidding, I am now leaving the forums for awhile. I would say permanently but I will just bounce right back if I say that, so instead, an extended leave of absence will suffice. Good day all.
Except Freshbite, he must have a bad day.

I must have missed the memo. Cheers.

To clarify: I am switching from overly excessive speed-poster to absentee.Renegade_Turner wrote:He's leaving? I'll get the alcohol.
In other words: Less posting, less forum-browsing, more lurking, less of all things Wolfire.
Cheers to the two people who actually tolerate my company.
