Except you.

And to invertin: Meh, I don't mind. Your suggestion wasn't really an exact copy. Besides, everyone else was already adding to various suggestions anyway, including me.

Invertin's idea did not include first person view, therefore this idea is irrelevant.
in addition to normal auto-aiming, with no crosshair.

Normal auto aiming with no crosshair... let me think about that. You basically suggested what's already in Lugaru 1. Invertin's idea had nothing to do with this. His idea was about holding down the q key and quickly pressing the q key, all you suggested was what was already in the game.

What do you want, do you want Invertin to have said "oh yeah BWS that's an awesome idea. Let me add to it, take your idea, throw it away, here's my idea that has nothing to do with your idea other than the fact that it involves knives and the throwing of them."

Yes, invertin's idea did not involve first person view (I thought it did at first) and that's why I said what my idea was about, to clarify whose idea was who's. So maybe you could avoid an angry tone when agreeing with someone?

And maybe you should read my post a little more closely… "In addition to normal auto-aiming" is what I said, basically meaning that A: That wasn't actually an idea, because it was already in L1 B: My idea adds to the existing auto-aiming throw in L1.

Holding down the Q key wasn't exactly what I suggested, but the basic manual aiming concept that would happen after holding down the Q key was. And isn't quickly pressing the Q key what you normally do to throw knives in L1?

Personally I right-click to throw knives, I find it easier.

Also, this seemed appropriate:

Then how come you're still replying in a very interested and listening-to-BWS manner?

Maybe they should have whips in lugaru2, a long ranged weapon that doesn't do much damage but can disarm the enemy and maybe you can also use it a bit like a grappling hook like zorro used to in the old awesome show

Reminds me more of the Hookshot from Zelda, actually.

I didnt mention a hookshot lol and i agree no hookshot and plus the whole grappling hookish idea was kinda dumb considering that anywhere that a whip would reach you could jump to but i still think there should be like a bullwhipish kinda thing not a cat-o-nine tails, though that would be cool too...

edit: do you ever get the feeling that david hasn't looked at this topic for a couple of months... or years?

Eh, did you ever get the feeling that run-on sentences were a bad idea? Just messin' with your head

Hookshot would be interesting... although it would probably feel a little like the Daggertail from Two Thrones (and probably work a little more like the Daggertail than the Hookshot) in that it would probably only be useful in specific situations, otherwise it could easily break the game.

Speaking of Prince of Persia, wall-running, especially if implemented as well as it was in the Sands of Time series. We already have wall jumping (to some degree), so why not the running? Imagine running up the trunk of a tree, tapping attack, jumping off behind your opponent and slashing them with a sword/dagger combo (and before Coli says it, a chainsaw :P), or running along the wall, over massive circular saws, then jumping over to the other wall - milliseconds before another saw turns you into a eunuch - and grabbing a ledge, hanging by your hands as arrows aimed at your legs prepare to fire... (yup, been playing too much PoP, methinks)

A nice addition to the arsenal would be a yataghan - a Turkish sword that most people have probably seen at some point, although under different names.

I'd like to see

as well...

I think that while it may or may not be a good idea for general gameplay, mods/expansions/special levels/whatever could be a lot of fun with a grapnel of some sort. I can just imagine swinging around like in liero, on with rabbits, and 3d.

Liero rocks, I wish more games had a grappling hook that is about as necessary to survive as in Liero…

Does OpenLieroX have the same master server as LieroX? There aren't many servers around for it… :(
