Can't find config

'cannot create the C:\program files\Overgrowth\Data\config.txt file. Make sure the path and file name are correct.'

This is the message I get whenever I try to save my settings in the config file, preventing me from turning up the resolution or going fullscreen. I've read that vista likes to save the REAL config file in a different location, 'C:\Users\USERNAME\Application Data\Local Virtual Store\Program Files/Overgrowth/config.txt. '

All well and good, but the problem is I cannot find this location, my journey ends after username, no application data folder exists.

So at the moment I'm stuck playing the game in a window at 800x600.

On a side note, I'm having a slight stuttering problem. The game runs at a perfect 60 fps in all situations, though whenever a ragdoll body collides with the terrain, the gain stutters badly, turning most fights into complete messes. Any ideas?

Make sure you open your text editor as administrator (right click --> run as administrator).

As far as the other config file goes, Application Data is a hidden folder. You will not see it in explorer unless you enable the viewing of hidden folders, but if you just type the name into the address bar, it will get you there without fuss. (If you want to enable being able to see hidden folders, go to the control panel --> folder options --> view tab --> select show hidden files, folders and drives)

Thanks for the response, Application data would still not show up when i did a search for it, but I was able to find it after turning on hidden folders.

Unfortunately, the exact path to the config file still doesn't exist.

i found app data, virtual store, program files, wolfire, overgrowth, but then the search hits a dead end, still no config anywhere to be found.

Why doesn't wolfire just give us an options menu, so I don't have to tunnel through the deepest bowels of my computer with a flashlight just to change the graphics??

If you run notepad (or whichever program you choose) as administrator and just modify the config file in the normal overgrowth directory, you should be good to go.
