If I preordered Overgrowth would it run OK on my laptop?

Post by x7hknjnr » Tue Apr 26, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi there!

I'm considering pre-ordering Overgrowth so I can take part throughout the alpha testing, however I wanted to check to see if my laptop will be able to run it ok!

It is has an i3-330m processor (2.13ghz), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU (512gb dedicated vmem), 4GB of DDR memory.

Thank you in advance!

Nope, it would run, but that processor is way to slow to run it well.

If you have the money you should custom build your own desktop, you would save alot of money if you were to just buy it from the shops.

If you live in the europe region a good website to get a computer from is Arbico.co.uk, you can customize your PC and its really cheap, i just recently bought one from there and its getting delivered on the 4th.

I went a bit crazy on the spec but here it is:

AMD Phenom II Quad core - 3.2Ghz
Nvidia GTS 250 - (1Gb, 3D and HD compatible)
Arctic cooler system
Extra fans
Built in wireless
4Gb RAM (Motherboard can take up to 8Gbs)
Windows 7 64 bit
etc etc etc.

And all this came to only £560, you would not need half as much as that to run Overgrowth so i would seriously think about customizing your own PC, and do NOT go to the big companies who would rip you off, i loaded my same spec to PC world and it came to over £1000.

Hope this helped.
