Remember that we don't judge the quality of the art as much as we judge the actual idea and concept of the logo. So even if you don't know how to draw at all you still stand a good chance to win the competition if you just have a good idea for the logo!

I probably still won't win, but at least I can say I tried.

The creature in that picture is an actual silverfish, in case you didn't know. I can substitute it for anything else, if you think something would fit better.
