What is amusing is how you take everything personally. LOL

I just want to remind you all that the game's combat mechanics are still very much a work in progress (it's called an 'alpha' for a reason).

If you think the alpha does not meet your expectations at this point in time, for whatever reason, you're encouraged to ask for a refund until the game is released for real.

While Wolfire encourages user feedback, I doubt spamming all-caps profanities will do anything except make the developers ignore you... I mean good god man, have you read your rant? Not to mention posting it in Wolfire and not the SPF where alpha-related suggestions should go simply screams 'hey guys, I'm a troll!'

The most successful games of our time play themselves. Just sayin.

PS. you do more to your outcome in this then most AAA games.

I've played games where the main character is made up of glued together pieces of paper.
I've played games where the menus didn't even work.
I've played games that.. Oh wait a minute, the PC port didn't work!

Yet, instead of talking to you about how you gotta accept the concept for what it is; I realize that I can't get that far, because you don't even have your facts straight.

I'm unsure if this has been stated to you yet, I have skipped a fair bit because of your caps and the like, but the combat, while yes, involves mostly one button, is not random, but rather context sensitive.

stay still + attack = punch
move + attack = kick
crouch + attack = trip
(while in the air near enemy) + attack = leg cannon

thus, you see the attacks are not random, you can punch if you want to punch, kick if you want to kick, but just through a single button and some manoeuvring.

this was also, as has been stated, how lugaru does it.

this may not be to your liking, if so, then that's a shame. as the posts above me have stated, if
you truly dislike this, you can always ask for a refund and get your money back.

Your arguments, as you make them, don't work. You are telling everyone else they are wrong. You are not explaining why you are right. Thus, the changes you want will never get into the game.

You've had one of the developers directly say to you, that they don't like your arguments, your caps-lock-shouting. You continued it. You've told off several long-time, respected members of this community. Some of the people you shouted at could have modded in the changes you wanted. You've lost a lot of goodwill.

You've ridiculed almost everyone who disagrees with you.

It's a pity, but I'm bowing out of this.

Anomalouzs, if you'd like, you can re-open the discussion in another thread. This time, keep it discreet, and refer from harassing other users. You seem to put quite some time behind your posts, but it doesn't matter much if you blindly whisk other peoples responses to the side and call them stupid for sharing their opinion.
