I'm wondering, if I preorder Overgrowth on a mac, and end up getting a windows comp before the game is finished, will I still be able to play it or would I need to purchase it twice?

Once you purchase Overgrowth, you get continuous access to builds for all platforms up through the game's release. If you buy it now, you'll be good to go
