I believe turner is his first name because his wife and kid or whatever were clearly referred to by their first names.

I agree, but it's not necessarily true. I know people almost exclusively referred to by their last names. Like Obama.

and do people refer to his wife by her first name? I mean it doesn't make sense to refer to people you've never met by their first name since that's a term of familiarity, so that explains why they would call him obama instead of barrack.

People call her her full name, Michell Obama, so I guess not. Maybe Turner is not social, since is a lone warrior, but his wife and daughter know everyone in the village personally. Still, Turner is probably his first name. I'm still curious about his last name.

for that matter do they even bother having last names, I mean if they still breed like rabbits there might not be much of a point since it could get confusing to keep track of last names.

I think it would be more confusing having 85 Turners. They probably have ten different names.

Revised suggestion:
Turner McTurner Mctrout Delopigas Facularis Dakock Inma Mowthis Tays Tee.

There's actually art of a rabbit blacksmith which could be the one mentioned in the comic, judging by how hardcore he looks:

I used to have normal legs, like you. Then I took one hell of an arrow to each knee.

Wait what? There's just some kind of metal strapped to his feet which he can use to form the metal, instead of using a hammer... I don't see the problem? :P
