It is possible that a typo could have linked your SPF key to a different account. This would also be problematic if you hadn't created your forum account yet. Emailing [email protected] and providing your transaction ID will be the best way to get this resolved.

All Steam purchasers have a "CD Key" assigned to them already. The issue seems to be that Steam is not displaying them properly. The devs are working to resolve this issue with Steam. Once that is resolved, you should able to access the SPF correctly.

There shouldn't be a delay. You might also want to email [email protected] to verify that your account was properly activated.

The cd key issue is fixed, but I have no idea how to activate it :s

hey guys, so it seems Steam just corrected the CD Key issue, and I can now access my Overgrowth key. I couldn't find where to put the cd key for the secret forum access however.

The only instructions I could find were for the humble bundle. can someone direct me to the right page / section to enter my Steam CD Key?

So, CD Key for steam users is working, i already got one for myself, but it seems like there is nowhere to paste it if I didnt buy the game on HumbleBundle. still waiting for solution, love overgrowth but can't wait for SUMLauncher to fully work for steam users.

For people who bought it from steam:

1.) Create a humblebundle account, and verify it.
2.) Go to Steam.
3.) Go to your library, click overgrowth, and select "CD Key" on the right side of the page.
4.) Copy the code and go to the following site: https://www.humblebundle.com/s?key=[Your key here]
REMOVE THE BRACKETS.
5.) Click the claim page button.
6.) Copy the new code displayed
7.) Go to http://www.wolfire.com/spf and put the code in.

There you go. Access to the SPF, and non-steam version of the game.
I am very new and had a little trouble finding this information, so I hope it helps.

I got my alpha key through the steps mentioned. I authorized my account yet I'm still not accepted into the pre-order forum thread. Just wanted to shed some light on this error.

Yeah, me too. I have the same error. The SPF page even says the key is associated with my account, "Rissquette", but I still can't access the modding forum. They really should have resolved this before putting it on steam...
