Overgrowth on Ubuntu

Post by butterynoodle » Thu Dec 20, 2012 1:33 pm

I am attempting to run Overgrowth on ubuntu with intel Hd 4000 graphics, the game simply crashes after loading maps. The game should run smoothly even with integrated graphics, if there's a fix let me know but if not please make one.

It doesn't run smoothly with integrated graphics cards.

There's only one set of character shaders for now, and those shaders take use of all kinds of features, some of which are missing from many integrated graphics cards. The character shaders animate the characters, so you can't just disable them. Until they make "fallback shaders" that include very little besides the basic moving and basic colors, many older graphics cards can't run the game.
