UPDATE ERROR
hey i bought alpha 194 and i found out there was a alpha 196 but errors keep coming up...is there anyway to download the new alpha without buying the game again

Yes, absolutely!
What errors do you have? Alpha 195 made some major changes into the game's internal mechanics, which caused a lot of bugs. 196 fixed many, but many other still persist.

Here's the official forum thread for Alpha 196. All alpha updated have their own thread on the preorderers-only subforum, and there are download links in the first post.

You can either redownload the whole game, or you can update one alpha at a time by using the "Just want the changes from the last alpha to a196" link. However, in your case, you would have to update alpha 194 to 195 first, and then to 196.
There is a fan-made program called SUMLauncher, also available in the preorderers-only subforum. It can download the alpha updates for you, so you don't have to hunt the threads of every alpha.

You don't buy just one alpha version, you buy a game, that is released once it is done. Also make new items, objects, characters levels, mods, textures and who knows what else.
