How do I start up Overgrowth?

So I just bought Overgrowth today, and I tried installing it with the regular download from the site. When it finished, it opened up its files in winrar format. Should I try reinstalling it or use the recommended installer?

I'm not sure what's wrong. Perhaps you don't have a program that can open a RAR file? Winrar format, or a .rar file, is a file packaging method, similar to ZIP archives. However, you need to download a separate program to open a Rar file. There are several free programs that can open Rar files, like WinRar.

I remember that the first time I came across a .rar file I was stumped, and eventually deleted the game without ever finding out how I was supposed to install it.

Exactly. You will have to download another software that can open the RAR file. There are lot of free software in the internet that you can download.

Oksy, im pretty bad at using my winrar,, so if you wanna kinda tell me how to open it up from my utorrent to my winrar,,, to an actual game i can play,, that would be lovely.. Iv done it 3 times,,, but when i try to open overgrowth again,, it tells me i dont have some sort of imagedll. file thing.. and tells me to try and redownload the game
