Having trouble with Overgrowth

I just bought the alpha for Overgrowth with the torrent download. I didn't realize I need software to open a torrent file. What program would work? Also, I haven't been able to get into the Overgrowth forum. Any help is appreciated.

You're registered as a preorderer. So you should be able to get into the forum just fine.
As far as the torrent, I'm not sure. I don't use torrents.

µTorrent is pretty good.
Haven't ever had a problem with it and it's tiny.

You can download any of the versions, not just the torrent file.
Torrent file is not the game, but basically something like a download link. A torrent program uses a small torrent file to load a much bigger file from a number of other users. Because you can download from 10s or even 100s of people at once, the download is very fast. If there are only one or two people, a torrent download might be slower than direct download using the browser.
