the free option is good, but maybe it would make L2 cost more
9.95 is good
Added with l2....there is a problem....how much will cost l2? 20? 29? with L1 it would cost 30, 35 ....no?

It would be retarded to abandon it when people would still buy it. There would be no incentive to "abandon" it.
I particularly think that when David finishes Lugaru 2, people who play it who haven't played the original will probably want to get the original too.
I can't think they should lower the price unless the sales plummet to basically 0.

Lugaru is not worth hundreds of NZ dollars. Frankly, neither is Halo or any of the other more modern games out these days.

And no, Renegade. I can't think of any games that are worth that much money. Maybe if the materials that the data was on was expensive.... I dunno...
As for the price of Lugaru, the people who play Lugaru 2 might want to play the origional (someone probably said that...)
David could perhaps update Lugaru one last time to add things like more than 8 enemies, maybe a few graphical enhancements, etc. to make Lugaru more appealing to those who have played Lugaru 2.
It's a possibility, I'm not counting on it. heck, someone might even port the whole story from Lugaru into Lugaru 2... who knows?

Look, when I buy a shareware game, I usually only pay around fifty dollars for a 25 or something USD game. When I buy a boxed game from a commercial retailer here in NZ (Like totallymac.com/nz) I rarely ever see one with $50 or so, only $100 games. I think a lot of people will agree with me, seeing as if I bought every boxed game from Amazon.com and waited the month or so for it to ship, I'd pay fifty dollars less, almost all the time.
Unless they charge fifty dollars for shipping…
So don't act as if I'm a cheap-ass sort of guy. I live in a world where it seems like the local retailers get more money per sale than the guys making the games!

So you have to buy Lugaru 2 separately? You should be able to use the same codes for the new versions like in toribash

it took me long enough to convince my parents to buy me Lugaru 1.

Eek. They'll be seperate. Two different games.
Your parents don't like you buying games do thay? eventually you'll get it... eventually...
You can start badgering them now, and by the time they let you get it the game will be released... :/

Ragdollmaster, it's Lugaru 2. Lugaru
2. This means it's a sequel, an entirely different game, not a new version!

no trading in keys? damn you all lol. If Lugaru 2 costs 20$ again it won't be a problem though, as long as the price doesn't increase... though people with lugaru one should get 50% off

Dave worked hard on this, and I can tell just by looking at a few things from the blog. I think he deserves the full 20 if not more.

I think what david should do, is when he's done with L2 is release a demo, then he can tell how much he should price it by the amount of ZOMGTHISISAMAZINGs.
