Haha, look at the Wolf (third image). Looks like their site doesn't handle PNG transparency very gracefully. It looks pretty interesting though.

Oh Hellwow, that looks extremely promising!
That's something typically wolfire:
Breaking cliché's by being cliché, but doing it PROPERLY!
These guys are the best.
"When I grow up I wanna be just like David" kinda thing xD

Michelangelo made a masterpiece he called David.
Our David surpasses that with a masterpiece of geographics, gameplay, and human understanding.

Cheers! =D

This was known before the blog update...

But yes, the kind of stuff we talked about in IRC (we being some people and some of the Wolfire team as well) is nice, map editors will be great =)

I got the Development Blog added to TIGSource's DevRoll. I'm sure a lot more people than me are interested in the technical aspects of OG.

Like the Sword! it looks like the Orukai (Dont hold spelling acountable) swords from Lord of the Rings. One way you could make it look epic is by putting beeds and fetheres on a thong on it.

Uruk Hai, yes.

No beads or feathers! D=
Personally I'd already prefer the classic type of sword (L1), but I understand it's important to be original, so imma fully support this new type. ^-^
But beads and feathers on a sword is just overdoing it... on a tomahawk, maybe, but not on a warsword D=

Ehh, depends on how "tribal" the creatures in Lugaru are. We really don't know much of anything about their culture yet, so we can't say if it's appropriate for them to decorate their weapons.

Well i'd *assume* it'd vaguely based on Lugaru 1, in which the weapons were honest, straighforward, and wieldy.

EDIT:
Also, forgot to mention, I'm really impressed with the speed they're pumping out these updates... if they manage to keep it up till the release, they'll have top-notch in everything they want! =D

(or at least, I hope so.... <<)

If rabbit society is anything like tribal human society, they'll probably have normal weapons (L1 swords and stuff) and ceremonial weapons, decorated, but never actually used in combat.

AFAIK, there's over 20 new weapons for overgrowth- the classic sword will probably be in here. I'm gonna go look for the L2 weapons picture [the one that shows a bunch of different kinds of knives, swords, spears, and axes in a circle around turner]

EDIT: Can't find it, but here's an earlier Blog picture that kind of shows what I'm talking about.
