Well I know what I would do but I wouldn't know how to do it. Like what program would be best in making those really basic models I LOVE the retro 3D look.

I personally think david Could of done better graphics, and actually make death sounds for people when shot other than Squishy or Thwack.

still, an addictive game, and its a blessing for those with crappy graphics cards or for those who are stuck on Government supplied macs.

I used Meshwork to make those models, but now I do all of my modeling in Blender. In terms of programming, you would have to learn to use C++, OpenGL, and OpenAL, or some other similar APIs.

I am not sure why you would want to recreate Black Shades though, especially since it is open-source.

its part of an ego thing and learning how to make an engine I presume...

Since thats the case, there should be some blend tech jokes with the softbody physics!

David, can you quickly make a scrappy looking blender model (of a blender) and put a model of some kind of wolf or rabbit in it and ask "Will it blend?"

I have the source files but how do I use them? I know C++ I just have no idea how to change those models or skins you made. My goal is to make a zombie survival game using the black shades engine....maybe online
