@Mike_cuzins: Are you sure it's not 16 you can enter into legal contracts at there? You can enter into legal contracts at the age of 16 in England. I know this because footballers in England can sign professional contracts when they turn 16. And Australia is part of the Commonwealth, so it probably has the same system of a law, or a similar one. Is it a Common Law jurisdiction?
