It looks to be, but I can't imagine it'll remain that way. Check Vimeo's news archives, they and their 'community' have had a bit of a... falling out with us gamers.

Mystery button made something cool even cooler. Man, why can't all indie game websites have designs like this? It certainly makes it seem more legit.

Good stuff! Keep the news coming!

But not with us developers :D

Oh, while I'm here: Why would I want to preorder the game? What's the point?

And there's a tiny mistake:
Overgrowth is a 3d action-adventure game for Mac, Windows, and Linux, coming soon from the the independent game studio, Wolfire Games.

Yeah you don't have to worry about pre-ordering the game if it's being digitally distributed. It's not like they're going to run out, but that seems more like a personal problem to me. I want to pre-order Overgrowth and I think many others want to too so it's a good idea, regardless of the point.

Perhaps they're doing a Mount & Blade sort of thing. If you pre-order it for X dollars before it's released you won't have to pay X+10 dollars once it is.

Or they're being silly.

Fixed the redundant "the".

Preordering is cool because it shows support for the team and helps us get an idea of what is going on early and debugs the order fulfillment software I am writing. We are also going to have some incentives for people who preorder that we are still working out. Some ideas include access to early betas of Overgrowth, an elite edition of Overgrowth, and maybe some other stuff. If you guys can help us brainstorm, that would be cool. Preferably something other than X% off, which we are not sure we can afford to do.

Well obviously if you see someone say "mystery button" you're going to notice it...

Sweet! Would Preorders include a CD copy of the game?
Reason I ask this is because I am situated in the middle of nowere (my final destination of my 3 month trip, that I will go into more on another thread) and Im lucky my Grandmother is acsepting of computers and gamers enough to let me even use her Computer. My grandfather (My Gran folks are Devorced) thinks Im a phyco killer because I play computer games. So yea, at least I got something to surf on now, even if its dial up hell!

I saw some of the Websight, but I cant veiw it fully. stuff wont load because, my conection is a pile of s*it. Care to Up load some Screenys please?

Mine. Me wants it.

Any estimates on how long til the teaser? Or should I just shut up because I should know better by now? :D

This is currently my number one game to watch, beating Mirror's Edge by a healthy margin.

Too early to confirm that. We are sending literally 500 emails to distributors tomorrow... so we will have a better idea pretty soon.

If you really want, I will personally mail you a burned CD though. :)
